Just discovered the most amazing thing ever.
So over a year and a half now I have come to know a lot about my truck. Things that most people (other than those on a site like this) would never see. Yesterday I was giving this girl a ride and I had a soda in the cup holder, took a turn, and inevitably it tipped over. I was SOOOO pissed off and she said to me "Why didn't you have the little sleeve up?" I asked her what she meant and she pulled on the inside of the cup holder and the little thing popped up. She had a boyfriend that had a Ranger and he used it. I'm sure many of you already know about this, but that is one of the things I've always hated about my console, it never held a drink. Now I can put almost any drink in there without it tipping over! Oh, the little things in life.

Re: Just discovered the most amazing thing ever.
hahaha, man thats sucks. So you know, you can take it out and flip it over, this way it hold the drink at the top. Works for cans and like 20oz from fast food places.

Re: Just discovered the most amazing thing ever.
The most important question now is did the sleeve of the cup holder get in the way of some grade A road head?

I wish I could say "I was giving this girl a ride..." when telling a story about my truck

Re: Just discovered the most amazing thing ever.
That was one of the first things i noticed in mine. Keeps the cup all nice and snug in there. Might work for my power inverter to...hmmm...

Re: Just discovered the most amazing thing ever.
My '00 didn't have the extendable inserts, because the previous owner of the truck took them out for some reason. I lost so many drinks in that truck. But it was a base Sport, so vinyl floors FTW!
My '03 has them, and omg do I love them. Only complaint is that they suck at holding Pepsi bottles, they only seem to hold water bottles and small/medium size McDonald's cups.
You 2004+ guys don't have these magical inserts.

i have a bunch of rubber inserts and 2 plastic things i can change around, but the cup holders next to the shifter are useless.
