I like having the bench seat in the work trucks just 'cause it's less room for other people to leave shit and it's easier to just toss stuff down next to you.

They are extremely comfortable, and have really good lumbar support.

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I have to say that I really don't like my 60/40 bench seats. The material is on it's way out and I'd like to replace the entire thing with bucket seats. Thing is, the only compatible ones I've seen are on e-Bay and they're the racing bucket seats which might look a little odd on my 99 XLT ext cab. Anybody know where I might be able to get a hold of new "normal" looking bucket seats? Or has anybody here bought the racing seats on e-Bay? I've been to junk yards in and around my city but no luck there. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had an 05 edge it had buckets, traded it for my 2010 which has the bench 60/40 whatever. I like the bench more simply because of the center console /armrest.

Our 94 Ranger has bucket seats, or whatever they are called now, and my 2002 has a 60/40 bench seat. The bench seat rides SOOOOOOO much better! As an aging Baby Boomer, comfort means a lot!

I like the comfort of a bench seat but hate the functionality of it. Wouldn't it be nice if they combined the functionality of the bucket seats, but still are considered bench seats. That way if someone needs to grab something from behind the seat all passengers don't have to get out of the truck. That's what I would do.
