Excuse me, where do you think the one in the picture is? 2002 Ranger Ext. Cab, 4x4 XLT, 4.0 SOHC., white
There are a direct fit, remove the 3 screws from your existing and screw the Explorer/Mustang dome light back in the same place. They are a little larger and don't have quite as bright a bulb as the stock one I removed, but look so much better.

I second that. I had one in mine and had a mustang in mine as well. 04+ trucks require a little wiring mod since they are missing the constant power up there for the map lights. But 03 and older, everythings already there and it's a direct bolt-on.
For what it's worth, the mustang dome light has WAY better aiming of the map lights compared to the explorer. I blame the explorer being located so far back on the roof in stock form compared to the Ranger.

Eh, I thought that style Explorer dome light wouldn't work in the Ranger. Learn something new everyday.
