Default Another 60/40 Seat Question

I have a 93 Ford Ranger ext cab and I am looking for another set of seats for it, I have done my research and I'm confused I would like to put in gen 4 seats or maybe something out of a explorer. Any input would be nice!

I say go for the explorer seats or mountanieer. They bolt right in. You may have to drill a bigger hole in the bolt hole mount. The bolts maybe a bit bigger than the explorer seat track holes.

You know, people keep saying that you have to drill a bigger hole in the bolt hole mount but when I installed my seats from a '00 explorer sport, I did no such thing.

The switch is sooo much easier than I thought it would be though. The only thing is I snapped the heads clean off two bolts on opposite sides of the truck, I have a 1997 Extended Cab by the way. I have no idea how that happened, I even ruined a cheap 10mm socket I had. Also in case you didn't know, seat belt anchors use T-50 torx bits fyi.

One more thing too, don't be scared to go ahead and hook up power seats, you won't regret it. If you can, get the power rack for the passenger's too. All you have to do is run a hot fused at the battery with about a 10 gauge wire and ground it on one of the seat bolts.

Yes, that should work just fine. If I where you, I would grab a center console while you're at it. It isn't neccesary for installing the seats but you will want it at some point.

I happen to be getting one and painting it black to match my interior and I'm later converting to a full power interior and I will be mounting the window controls on the center console. But that's just something crazy for later.

You can also refer to this thread for a lot of other seat related items but bear in mind this isn't entirely acurate and up to date. Luckily for you and me, third generation extended cab rangers can fit so many different seats.

Yea I don't get it either. There is a hole right above the cup holder. You could put the switches there.

no i meant in the armrest..in my truck i have 40 20 40 so the switches (if u put them in the middle) would ideally be on the armrest which i thought u meant for easy acesss but then i discovered ur console doesnt go all the way to the front like mine
