Honest Opinions.
Now, I know I've posted a few questions about speakers. It's probably geting old. Lmao, but I was wondering. What's the best speakers there are for a Ford Ranger. I went to a local Audio Source and talked to the guy there.. He said Ford Rangers have very limited amount of Brands that sell the right Measurements. Well I wanted to know your guys Opinion.. And oh also. Is there a Certain way to Install Custom Fit speakers? I'm some what Noob at this. Aha. This is my first ever Modification I've done with my First Truck. Your guys help is Greatly Apprieciated.
Thank you,
Cody.

And if you know a certain way to install them..

Re: Honest Opinions.
The guy at the audio shop is probably trying to push his overpriced stuff on you... there are LOTS of brands of speakers that are 5x7/6x8.
Head over to crutchfield.com and enter your vehicle info, they have a really nice selection of products.
I've bought from them for over 15 years & never had any major issue. Their prices may be a little higher than "discount" websites, but the customer service is worth a couple bucks to me.
I'm running 2 sets or Kenwood 5x7/6x8's in my truck, different models (I can't remember the #'s right now) and they sound great. I'm powering them with a 400w 4ch MTX amp crossed over at about 150hz.
I got mine through their outlet/open box/scratch & dent sections about a year apart. Both sets arrived in the original boxes, all paperwork, wiring, etc included, didn't look like they had ever been opened... saved about $25 on each set.

Re: Honest Opinions.
Depends on what kinda system you want and how much money you want to spend. There are so many different kinds of speakers you could put in your truck. I swapped out my stockers for some rockford fosgate 6x8's the 3rd level or whatever they call it. Think they are called power. Anyway they sound great and plenty loud enough. Currently dont have an amp for them just running off the deck.

Re: Honest Opinions.
Ya there are many brands that fit in a ranger
You can even fit larger ones 6X9. Just simply trim the hole up some and they will mount up. Have helped do it and seen it done before.
As far as speakers go I am a Alpine person so I would recommend Alpine type S or type R only R if you are looking for some bass.
