Default Vinyl Flooring in a Ranger.

What do you guys think about it?

I finnaly got my seats pulled ended up breaking all of the bolts in the back . As i was thinking about the carpet and best way to clean it i started to think that vinyl would be a better choice.

I live in the U.P of Mi and Will be Using my truck for work so i will be driving alot of dirt roads and in my line of work i will be in and out alot. I could be in mud or snow or what ever that day so i was thinking the Vinyl would be easier to keep clean.

Would that be true is it easier to keep clean? Have you notice anymore road noise with it? Do you get more heat or cold from it not insulating like the carpet would?

I LOVE MY VINYL FLOORING! it came stock w them but i love it ..dont have to worry about stuff getting ruined or stained...washes off with a rag and shines good with a cleaner

----------

and umm i hardly think the flooring makes a difference in heat or coldness in the car

Hazard

Thanks for the reply..

I figured clean up would be a easy as heck. I am trying to add leather explorer seats also so they will clean up easier then the cloth.

I deal with Wildlife so you never know what may happen lol could get sprayed by a skunk or could have to remove an dead animal so the easier it is to clean the better it is for me.

Carpeting does add a bit of insulation, but it's hardly noticeable.

It does, however, deaden sound, but if you are putting the vinyl in, you might as well put some sound deaden-er in too.

I only notice because my Chevy has vinyl flooring, and a buddy of mine has the same truck just with carpet instead. We both have loud exhausts, but his is a hell of a lot quieter on the inside.

There are some companies that will sell new vinyl for a little over a 100 if you go that route. just google it. may be easier to install new.

I have vinyl flooring in mine. It's great. My previous Ranger had carpet. I loved that as well. But I also had a very thick and durable vinyl floor mat... Do you guys with vinyl floors also use floor mats? Might sound retarded, but I guess it would keep all dirt and crap in one place.
