My truck failed the NYS inspection. For what, Rich? Don't worry, I'll tell you. Because my FUCKING check engine light BULB was blown. Yea, that's right, they failed me for a light bulb in my dash. They wanted 100 dollars to replace it, and they REFUSED to give me a 10 day pass so I would have time to get it fixed on my own. I called their bluff and fixed it in their parking lot. Fucking scam artists!

My fiance, Chrissy snuck a pic of me while I was working on it. I just removed a cruise control bulb and used that because I don't have CC.

In Mass they are just as bad if not worse . My Ranger is new so I don't expect any issues for a few years , but my Dodge , they checked everything twice ....

I actually liked it as I found a couple of problems like a ball joint on the way out and some small stuff like lite bulbs etc .

PA isn't that bad but they do hit you for stuff. It depends on the garage too. One of my ball joints was questionable last year but they passed me as long as I brought the vehicle back to prove the repair was done.
