Re: pics of cluster LED and paint job
You should be able to simply swap the old bulbs for led's in the hvac panel.
If your color filter is green now, you'll need to find a blue one or make your own.
I'd suggest using white led's with a blue filter for the hvac panel... the red/blue indicator will turn out purple or brown if you use colored led's.
Here's mine with white led's & a blue color filter:
Oh, nice work on yours too

you have to sand yes. but it's not like the hvac where there's an actual filter. you need to peel off the overlays and sand where needed. I did mine with blue 5smd 194's(pretty damn bright lol) you can also use paint and clear bulbs, there's a few detailed how to's. here's how mine turned out
just take your time with the needles( i didn't and have yet to fix haha) but i'm gonna swap to white overlays so i'll deal with it then

Ok Thanks. were yours glued to the gauge panel? And you used a 194 bulb in the HVAC correct

Re: pics of cluster LED and paint job
the hvac used 74's i believe*the small little bastards* I used smd's there as well(the 3 smd ones)
my guage overlays were"melted" to the cluster itself. I simply ran a knife under them. most of the points where its attached at the top end up being covered anyways so if you tear the overlay a bit, no big deal
----------
just pay close attention to how much force you use to get them off. if you don't take your time you can bend them too much/put a crease in them...no bueno, your needles might end up sticking
----------
small guys on left
AND a plug for mr BUGGMAN(awesome guy to deal with) his plug and play led mod for the headlight switch

Ok, I got 194's on the way. Should I try seeing if one fits in the HVAC if not buy a different one or just sand it down and paint the filters, I got blue transparent paint...

Re: pics of cluster LED and paint job
the base is WAYYY smaller on the 74's. but yeah if you're using white led's you'll need the paint for the filter. you'll also need to pop the filter inserts out of each knob(flat head works great) they are all painted green on the tips
