Default sound deadening has begun

so i started putting in this stuff called mastic tape, also known as putty back tape, its a putty adhesive with an aluminum backing. I figured i would try it out to seeing as i get it from work for very little, and dynamat is like 50 bucks for the doors.

3"x100 feet

only got 2 doors done, each one took about 45 minutes to an hour. so far i can hear a bit of a difference in sound, and my mirror doesnt vibrate nearly as much. i only got 2 doors done and my hands were fried from peeling the tape and all that jazz, plus i had to do some other stuff to the truck.

i think once i get new speakers ill put more on the doors, it was just cold out, and i was tired.

oh and i used a little over half a roll for those 2 doors.

my work gets it, since i do stuff with hvac occasionally, it looks to be about 30 bucks a roll for what i have according to google, its called foilmastic tape, but you can get thicker stuff, as well as up to 6" wide tapes. those will cost more.

U Can pick that stuff up at any Home Depot, Lowes, or any kind of hardware store. I got a big roll out in the garage and i think it was about $30 or less. Curious to see what results you get from this....
