Default !!HELP!! Back Glass Leaking

I have a 1999 Ford ranger xlt single cab and it has the rear sliding glass and on both sides of the sliding glass water gets into my headliner and collects moisture from the rain. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem with a sliding back glass or not. And if you guys knew any solutions to fix it.

This is a problem that happens a lot with the sliding window. I put silicone on every possible spot on my first Ranger and it never fixed it. If you don't use the window, I would suggest replacing it with a solid one. My new Ranger has a solid window and has no problems.

This just happened with my 02 and i found that it was coming in through the third tailight. All i did was take that off and put a bead of black silicone all the way around it and it worked great...hope that helps!

Yeah check the 3rd light, and seal everything you can till you can get a new back window or have it professionally re-sealed

I had this issue too, and tried sealing the 3rd brake light. Still leaked, what I ended up doing was removing the whole window, and re sealed it with 3/8 inch butyl tape.

I tried silicone around the 3rd brake light and mine still leaked too. Hopefully that works for you though.

Mine leaks pretty bad when it rains hard. I've tried silicone on the third brake a couple times but it didn't help. I might buy a new third brake assembly from LMC truck for $70, the screws and the plastic clips before I try and take out the window and reseal it.

okay everyones got it wrong so far, esp- 99 rangers " mines got a solid window"
but they all had crappy sealant used around the edges of the window where it bolts in , i think theres 6 or more nuts that hold the whole window to the cab , now u can get window sealant or call a windsheild company to re-seal / glue the window for you i had them come to my house after i removed the window so it was cheaper
