Default Removing A Stereo

Can someone tell me how to remove a stock stereo out of a 2004? preferably step by step.. thanks!!

You'll need those U-shaped tools, or in a pinch, a wire coat hanger works too. Inset the pointed ends into the 4 holes on the face of the radio, then bend them outwards slightly, and the radio should slide right out. OR the easier way, and only on Ranger and Explorers, remove the 2 (I want to say 7mm screws) just above the HVAC controls and pull the whole bezel out. Push the tension clips on the left and right sides of the radio inwards and the radio should slide out of the bezel.

you need a set of the u-shaped radio puller tools, that go in the 4 holes on the front of the radio, 2 on each side.
push them in until they click.
pull them sideways (outwards from center) and...
pull the head unit straight back out of the dash.
