Why do you not recommend breaking the tab on the passenger side if it makes it flush? Or does it...lol?

EDIT: Re-reading, you said yours HAD the gap because you broke the passenger tab off, right?

I have a feeling I am either going to like the mustang dome or it's going to look like ass and I will end up going to the 3 light bubble light (I only had the two light bubble and that was finicky at best).

So on the back of it, there was a plastic locating tab on the passanger side that made it have a gap as my 03 doesn't have a hole for it.

I broke off the tab to make it mount flush, but the light from the map lights went from pointing at my lap to lighting up the ceiling. Knowing this, I would rather have the gap that only I knew was there.

The gap was about a millimeter of space where my finger is in this picture. Wasn't even noticable.

Thank you for the explanation! Definitely not a problem then if it's that small of a gap!

Awesome.

I saw other pictures elsewhere and it looked like a good 1/4" gap all the way around, then in other pictures it looked like zero gap. The fact that my headliner is black, and the mustang dome is black I can't foresee it looking horrible, where when it was the light gray headliner it would probably be much noticeable so that's reassuring then!

Can't wait to get it now!
