Default friend just bought a '95 Ranger, will '99 cluster n radio fit?

I'm goin to give him some parts
will an instrument cluster from a '99 plug n play?..
and will my '99 OEM CD player plug n play?

we are meeting tomorrow and I'm going to go buy a after market head unit tonight and give him mine tomorrow if it will work..

they should work i'm not posetive though. i think ford has used the same radios since the early 90's. as far as the speedo goes. i'm really not sure. you can try getting ahold of stl and he might know.

not sure about the radio, but yes, the cluster will work. i have an 03 ranger cluster in my 95. it will p'n'p, however, the water temp gauge may need to be swapped between the two clusters. some 95-97 have a resistor, while others don't. swapping requires pull the needle off the temp gauge, unscrewing it from the back side, and putting it on the new cluster.

the other thing is the light for door ajar lights up as fuel door. it's just a matter of swapping 2 wires i believe. i just haven't done it on my truck.

Cluster worked, with no problem.. although the radio looks the same as later models in appearance the plugs are different.. we will clip the harness from a junk truck and install..

95-97 radios connectors are the same, 98-03 connectors are the same.
