Default Lock/Unlock trouble

Getting the last few things working on my Ranger before I put it on the road and I noticed today that the Lock/unlock switch will only work on the passenger door. The switch itself on the driver side works but it wont make the lock pole up top go up or down. Itll move it a little but not enough to lock it. I took the door panel off andd cant see too much. If I buy a new latch entirely will the shaft and pole come with too?

It could be the actuator that is acting up or maybe a short in the wires. Before buying anything, I would suggest taking off the door panel and getting down where you can see the door lock latch and actuator and push the button. If the actuator is not working, check the wires. If the actuator is working but not fully, then you probably need to buy a new actuator. Or the latch could be broken and might have to buy that. Either way, before buying, look at it and test it out.

I have the whole panel off and I still can't see much. Do I take the 3 allen bolts by the latch off to get the actualtor out?

Mine the switch is bad, I just hit the thing harder and it works lol Otherwise your probably going to need to replace the actuator for the lock/unlock like stated.

Yeah which probably isn't so much. Search it on ebay and you should get a ton of ads for the. just make sure the seller is trusted and lives in the United States. Not that cheap plastic stuff
