Default Painting Radio Bezel

Does anyone have a step-by-step diagram for this with pictures? I got the idea from STL's one and I'd really like for mine to be like that cause his looks great.
Thanks- Bear

U just wanna paint the radio bezel?

1st question what knobs you have on your bezel?

The fewer the better. Simply remove it then you just have to pull the vents out they just clip in there

Mask off the knobs and buttons if you have any ruff it up with sand paper very lightly prime and paint

Greyghost, i saw that one. It just didn't help me at all. All that guy did was describe how he did it. not a step by step instruction

What 3 knobs u have?

cig light is easier to just leave in pull the out side part and stick tape down in the hole to keep paint out.

7MM bolt holding bezel on remove those

Use your fingers to pry it off the dash or use a flat blade screw drive and pry it off

Remove the connectors for the 12v

Remove connector for the cig lighter

remove the foglight connection

Unplug radio antenna also remove the radio harness

Now I dont have a stock radio but it removes the same way
pull up on one side to release this tab and gently push radio toward front then repeat on other side and radio will come out the front of the bezel

Remove foglight switch 2 Phillips head screws

Now starting at the bottom of the vent release the tabs holding the vent on once they are released to do the top ones

Now u have this

Remove 12v plug

Stuff tape down in there covering the metal parts of it

Cig lighter cap wont come off so tape around it

Then your ready to paint scuff up the bezel with a light sand paper there is a rubber type stuff on there it will come off easily

If you don't want to remove the rubber just clean real good with soap and water let dry and spray away

stl, the lighter that has the cover on the right side, if you stick your finger in the plug and take off the retaining nut on the back side the cover comes out with the insert piece. for future reference.

very interesting.

I looked at them before they just appear to not come out

So you just twist them off and push them back on or twist it back on
