I bought this 93 ford ranger splash and i relized one night right after i got it that when i stopped at a stop sign that my dome light came on i was wondering if that is because somebody replaced it or the cargo light and wires are touching or what?

Did you check your dimmer on the headlight knob/switch?

yes i have it only comes on when i step on the brake like it is hooked up like a brake light

You may want to pull it out and check the wiring then

Sounds like someone added a third brake light with the bed lights and connected the brake wire to the dome light instead of to the bed lights. You might want to keep it connected but change it the wire for the bed lights.
