Default Visors

so im re-doing my entire interior soon, and I am going to get the fabric I need tomorrow and have researched how to re-do my headliner, but does anyone have a good write-up on how to re-do visors over? or any input?

I would upgrade to the Explorer double lighted visors instead of recovering them

+1 I just finished upgrading to double lighted visors out of a Mercury Mountaineer (Ford Explorer)... awesome and direct bolt in replacement except for the wiring.

Put in a Mustang GT dome light at the same time... looks great if your doing interior upgrades.

if you want to recover the stock visors, you need a sewing machine. if you want to recover the explorer visors, you have to tuck the material in. i do both kinds quite often.

hmm okay, interesting feedback haha. I got 3 yards of black micro suede today, so hopefully soon i can recover the headliner!

*for the explorer double visors since they are a direct bolt in, what wiring needs to be done outa curiosity?

the wiring is real easy. it just taps into the green/orange wire (I think, check the how to) in the dome light and a ground.

Wouldn't wiring that way mean the mirror lights only work with when the dome light is on?

no, the green/orange is for the map lights, which is a constant 12v. the dome light works off a different wire.
