found some really decent looking seats from an 04-09 edge with a console. will the seat tracks swap to the 97? my other plan is a set of leather electric heated seats from an 03-up Honda accord OR a set from an exploder. my father in law has an '03 accord and they are DAMN comfortable! i'll have to fabricate my own mounting positions to get my tracks to line up i'm sure, but i've done that before with other cars i've owned so not a big deal. anyone done this with theirs as far as the edge seats?

I put 04 Edge seats in my 01 and it was a direct swap. The edge seats came from a stnadard cabd but were a direct fit to my supercab

if the new seats are from an ext cab, it should pretty much be bolt in. you'll have to swap the seat belt latch, but that should be about it. explorer seats will bolt in.

oh, 98+ seat tracks cannot be removed like the 97 and older.


hey clinton, little more detail on your swap. from everything i've seen, a reg cab seat will not directly bolt into an ext cab. the distance between the bolt holes front to rear are different.

I really dont have details, I took the old ones out, swapped the seatbelt/airbag wiring, set them in the truck and it just lined up. I even double checked my old seats and they had identical brackets

Do you have the one with the seperate console? or the 60/40, Cause if you have the console that is seperate of the seat, and it's full length you are sitting on a small pot of gold!

mine is the 60/40 with the console attached to the driver seat.

did you pull them out of the other truck? sounds like they came from an ext cab then.

No I bought them from the original owner and saw the truck first hand. Unless I was hitting the booze too hard and didnt realize it was an extended cab but I doubt it
