Default Driver door does not seem to seal properly (w/pics)

OK, I put 2 pics below so you can see the area I am talking about.

I can see the opening from inside my truck when the door is shut. Its a very small "crack"...just big enough where you can see outside the door. Around 50mph, sometimes you can hear a slight "whistle" noise. This can be solved usually by opening the door and shutting it again.

My truck has never been wrecked...and has never had any dings or anything in the door. The rubber seal between the door and the door frame looks good.

Can anyone explain this or has anyone had the same problem...and may know an easy fix???

Here are the pics of the outside, and the inside. Oh, and I misspelled "through" in the first pic. Sorry. LOL

my door leaks to. make sure there is nothing in the way of it latching all the way.

Try pulling that part off, add some gasket sealant then re-attacht it, not all the way and let the gasket sealant fill it in from the backside

You mean the rubber "weatherstrip" between the door and the frame?

So basically you are "pushing" the weatherstrip out just a bit?

Correct just dont let the door close all the way on it til its dry, You're basically building a bit of a foundation for it

Gotcha. Thanks Clinton.

How much of the area should I do? Just where the gap is? Or should I do the whole top part from window up to the top?

could be a defect during build. might be bent in just a bit from the factory. Clinton's idea sounds like the best fix.

Its around 5-8 bucks for a tube. You can get it pretty much anywhere.

I wonder if black silicone will do the same thing?
