Thanks guys. I've already been telling other Ranger owners that they have options to upgrade seats

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger
Just picked up a 94 Standard cab with a vinyl bench seat that has seen better days. A friend of mine gave a me a 60/40 seat out of a 2000 Ranger. Will it bolt up without modifying my seat tracks?

You can't use bench tracks on buckets. your floor is pre-drilled for bucket seats. if the 2000 6040 is from a regular cab, it will work with very minor modifications. if it's from an extended cab it will not work at all.

not without switching the tracks. but those two generations of seat tracks will not inner change. you would have to find regular cab swat tracks from a 2007 install them on the seat then they will bolt in your truck

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger
I'm thinking of putting a full bench in my 01 extended cab and taking the half seats out... good idea or just plain stupid? I like the classic look of older fords/chevys with the full bench didn't know if it would work.

I want to do the same in my 1990 ext cab. I'm probably just gonna find a bench from a second gen at a scrapyard and look at the mounting bolts. If they are the same ill slap it in. I think they only mount with four bolts while my 60/40 has eight so I imagine the four outside bolts for my seats are the same mounting points as the four from the bench.

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger
Well as long as your truck is automatic I dont see an issue, but the shifter might be a bit in the way if you have a 5 spd one.

I do have a 5 speed. Never thought about that. Do the bench seats have sliders too?

Yes they sure have but the ranger with the newer cab might not accomodate one, my 60/40 have the notch in the seat to add more room for the shifter.... All im saying is make sure you measure it right before buying one.

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger
In the 2000 Ranger 4X4 Ext Cab that I had a couple years ago I remover the l/s of the 60/40 seat & I bought a l/s bucket seat & the console from a Explorer Sport & it bolted right into my Ranger. The holes are in the floor for the console & the threaded holes were there for the l/s bucket seat. It was a very easy swap.

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger
yes, you can put bench seats in ext cabs. there are no bolt in tracks for this, however, it's not difficult to do either. for 93+, you will need a set of 93+ reg cab bench tracks (benches only came in reg cabs). the front two holes should line up fine. then you will have to drill the rear two holes. for 98+, the biggest issues you will run into is the seat belts. the latch mounts to your original seats. the bench seat will not have a provision to mount them. you are on your own on that.
for 83-92, get a set of reg cab bench tracks from the generation you have ( should be the same for all years) same as above, front two mount, back two will have to be drilled. your seat belt situation is a lot easier. you should have mounting holes already there.
i just put this bench in my 95 reg cab.
