Thanks everyone for the info in this thread.

Now for my contribution:
I bought a 1996 Supercab Ranger last weekend, and it had the 60/40 seats in it. I didn't like those, so I found a set of buckets and console from a 1995 Exploder that were the exact same fabric/color. I put them in today and only had to swap over the belt tensioners. Aside from that, the rails were exactly the same and bolted right into the Ranger.

Just got these out of junkyard $50 few blemishes. For my 2000 ranger 4x4 off road. Had to use my old seat belts. Bolted right in. I think they came out of a 2007.

This may be of topic, but does anyone know the legality of adding a bench seat to the bed of a truck?

Not much here about using late model Mustang seats. I bought a pair from a 04 Mustang. Driver side is power. To put them in my 99 extended cab Ranger (Sport if it makes any difference) what is necessary to make them fit? Thank you in advance for your help.

I just made the swap from an old bench style seat of a 2001 XLTto separeted bucket seats of a 2007.

I found 2 things:

1) Airbag socket is different ... I kept the old 01' sockets ...can I swap those too and have the airbags back again?

2) Buckle attached to new bucket seats does not click with the old tongue... can I fix this by just swapping the entire seatbelt for a 07' one?

I have an 2001 XLT Extended. I want 2006-2010 extended seats in it. I can swap straight up correct?

To the people that said to switch out the seatbelt how did you do it? I just picked this up from a 2001 explorer 2 door n don't whant my airbag light on

This is in my ranger were would the bolt to the new seats?

Its been a while since I've done mine but if I remember correctly its a torx bolt holding the female end to the seat, when I swaped it on the escape seat I only had to drill a hole on the seat rail cause de ranger one had extra tab to keep it in the right angle. Be careful with them, they have an explosive charge just like the airbag.

Is is possible to remove the driver side seat/console, flip around the rails, then just throw another passenger seat in? Or would flipping rails even be necessary?

A passenger seat would physically bolt in on the drivers side but the seat back recliner handle will be on the wrong side facing the center.

Yet another question... I'm getting conflicting reports on weather or not the explorer seats will fit in the regular cab ranger. If they don't what will?

If I am readin this right which i hope i am, any mustang seats will fit in a ranger. so my question is will those mustang seats fit in a mazda 2002 b4000
