So I have read through 17 of the 31 pages and my brain hurts and I'm still a bit confused on what will fit.... I have a 95 ranger xl extended cab 2wd and I am thinking about replacing the 60/40 bench with buckets.

Is there any suggestions and advice yall can offer..

Thanks in advance

My last 2000 Ranger Extd Cab had the 60/40 split bench & the seat back broke. I went to a JY & bought the l/s bucket seat & shorty console from a mid 90's Explorer Sport & it was a direct bolt in for the seat & just had to drill the holes to bolt the console down, it even had the dimples in the floor where to drill for the arm reast rear bracket.

Joe, did you get the shorty or full length console?, either will fit.

It should fit if they are both extd cabs.

I would match them up & see if they are the same, if so use the newer ones.

So I bought 2002 Exp Sport Cloth/Non Power Buckets. I finally was able to get the pretensioner mounted and secured. Went to bolt the seats in and the mounting points are too narrow by about 1/4". How did you drill out the holes to fit, and does drilling them cause the seat to wiggle?

The mounting holes on expo seats that wouldn't fit were the front and back holes on the right side of the passenger seat, so side with reclining lever. From what I read it is suppose to be the back 2 holes that you need to drill?

I appreciate any help, getting super frustrated.

I have a 2004 Ext Cab with the current 60/40 bench.

Thanks great post! Kinda unclear to me, but I have a standard cab ranger, and would want to get some bucket seats...would there be any that would fit well or will all be too big?

Thanks again for this.

My 1995 Extended Cab 3.0 Ranger work truck had a ratbag 60/40 bench. I just retrofitted it with a set of 1998 Ford explorer Manual buckets from the local pick&pull, and dropped them off at the upholstery shop to have them redone in two-tone green vinyl! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction with this thread, I will post pics when the seats are reinstalled!

Andrew: If you get seats out of an extended cab ranger or explorer you are going to have to swap the seat tracks with the standard cab tracks that are currently on your bench or buckets so that they fit into your cab. The extended cab tracks go back an extra 4 inches or so (bench and buckets), and have a mounting bracket that attaches to the center of the extended cab.

Other than that, you should be able to swap the seats listed on Page 1.

Anyone know if the flor pan is any different in a 92 to the 93-97 regular cab? I'm looking at some leather seats from a 2001 expo I think and wondering if swapping the tracks will still work?!?
