Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Anyone use them? Husky are the makers of the floor liners/mats that are molded to fit perfectly in your floorboard and keep water etc from excaping the mat onto the carpet.
If anyone uses them let me know I am thinking about ordering some and was wanting some feedback on how they work...

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
they work great! I have had one problem with mine tho.... the drivers side mat up by the front side seems like it always wants to fold in kinda...I will take a pic tomaro so you can see. Other than that they are fantastic!

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Sweet, yeah take a pic if you don't mind. The only thing I am seeing is that the lip on the door side of the mat looks a little high, almost like I would have to step over it to get in.
Found some WeatherTech's thats basically the same principle but doesn't have the raised lip by the door, which may be better. Don't like the price though, and they don't have them for a 2001, but pretty sure the ones for a 2005 would pretty much fit.
I guess I'll make my decision when I see the picture of yours, all I can find online is the generic pictures that aren't vehicle specific.

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
alright, now this is against the right side of the floor by the cup holder/shifter. You can see the red oval, this area hangs down, it should be tight and flush to the side as the front and rear of the mat are. The middle hangs down. I have tried everything from heat to weight on it for 3 months...(serious) to get it to lay flat. Its not that big of a deal for me as I am use to it. I don't know if they are all like this, but mine is. I still recommend them tho.

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Yeah I see what your sayin', thats not bad. Do you have a floor mat on top of the liners, or are your liners cloth?

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Mine are carpet lined blue. They are made out of rubber tho so I just usually take them out at the car wash and hose them down. They diffenatly save your rug tho. Very nice to have.
I actually put in a rubber floor I got from Clinton (may his cyber soul R.I.P), my carpet was just trashed. And it was actually sopping wet and the floor was rotted. I was welding on my floors the other night at like 2 am. yeah, nice surprise.
Anyhow, I would def. get them.

Does the outside edge near the door bother you getting in and out of the vehicle? ...just getting opinions. Your ranger is a newer model than mine, pooleos is a older model than mine. Figured if I got your opinion I'de be perfectly in the middle. Lol.

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
I've got a set of husky liners for my F250. Their great. I bought a set for a GMC Jimmy that my wife had and she spilled a large drink and none got on the carpet. All in the Husky liner. Easy to clean.

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Have you considered Ford's rubber floor mats?
I researched several brands including Husky for mats but the kicker was I wanted the driver's side with the hole in it for the retainer in the floorboard. I saw some nice ones with the blue Ford oval at the local AutoZone but the driver’s side didn't have the hole and they were of the trim-n-fit type. Also the rubber tits on the underside of the mats weren't as aggressive as Fords.
I settled on a set from Ford for $60 and love them!

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
I am shopping these out as well and ^ those look cool! But in my case i am looking for a mat that is basically edge to edge so i don't have clean underneath the mat when i take it out to shake it off. I want it to be like a damn swimming pool lol so when i spill my big gulp it catches every drop

Thats exactly what I'm looking for, but on the flipside of that I didn't want my boot to trip over the edge of the mats either, which is why I was asking about the edge of the mat near the door. I want it to catch all the water that comes off my boot when its raining, or melts off when their is snow. Hopefully the Huskys go all the way up under the pedals so the snow can melt off them too and I can dump the water when I get to where I'm going.

I like those, but my truck is a 01 and doesn't have the retainer. It looks like if I had something on my right boot it would melt/drain off onto the carpet below the accelerator. Those would work great for me in the summer time but now right now, lol.

Re: Husky Floor Mats/Liners
Hmmm, Now that you mention it I'll take a closer look at the raised lip near the gas pedal to see if it's as high as the rest. It doesn't look like from the photo though.
