Question How to clean the black and grey 2004+ seats

Hey guys,

I was just wondering what's the best way to clean the black and grey 2004 + seats and arm rest. I really like the look of them but they get dirty so easy and they look so nasty when they get dirty.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

You can take the seat covers off and wash them. The arm rest will have to be spot cleaned, however.

I'm not a big fan of seat covers or I would have already put some on.

I have been wanting to take mine off and clean them. They are a PITA to keep clean and water spots seem to never go away when they get wet.

The stock seat covers, unless you took those off and are sitting on a piece of raw foam.

this is how we do it at the shop. blood, milk, mud, urine, etc. we use tide detergent and some lysol concentrate mixed together. then let air dry.

Oh I see ... you're saying that the upholstery can be removed like seat covers ... lol
Why didn't you say that in the first place?
How hard is it to get the upholstery back on after I wash it?

Yeah, I already know it ... lol
They're probably the hardest seats to keep clean.

this may be a really dumb question, but can you swap the seat covers? Can you put the drives side on the pass side and vise-versa?

Edit:
This was a really dumb question, Sorry for the post.

I always take mine to a drive through car wash and they have self service carpet shampoo. I just do the carpet, seats, and whatever else needs it. Then let it air dry overnight.

I pulled the seats out of my '02 and cleaned them with Simple Green and a hose in the driveway. Used my hands a scrub brush to avoid wear and did them about three times each with a good rinsing in between. Let dry in the sun (it was late last summer when I did it) and you're done! Look like new. (And it also took out the god awful smell that was in my truck when I got it)
