I am sure somebody who actually knows will chime in, but you could always go the free route and cut your shifter down.

lmao-short shift is not cutting down the shifter lol

only short shift kit i'm aware of is the hurst. it shortens the throw(space between gears) by 30%. there used to be an issue with the seal leaking on them but they have now changed the design. mine hasn't leaked a drop.

i got mine on summit for $220 a couple months ago

Most aftermarket STS's achieve they're shortened throw from one of the following ways:
1) By increasing the pivot point's diameter (if it's a ball type pivot). [pretty short throw]
2) By increasing the length of the arm under the shifter's pivot point. [even shorter throw]
3) By shortening the shift arm as well as one of the above two methods. [really short throw]
4) Or all of the above. [really effin short throw]

Cutting the arm does works on the cheap, but it does add some effort to engaging gears (loss of leverage).

Real STS's usually allow shorter throws without adding effort to the throw.

Cutting the arm will also increase the reach. So if you're tall and you've got the seat pretty far back, hitting 5th may be a pain.

It's no doubt doable, but the gains are nominal unless you take quite a bit off. Also, shortening the shift arm doesn't do so much for the lateral travel. Your fore and aft movements will decrease a bit, but your side to side will still seem heinous.
