"Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
anyone have the oem rubber flooring and have after market or oem rubber mats on the them, I was just wondering since the carper have a hook that holds your mats in place, and the rubber flooring don't, than would the mats slide around. just curious what setup you guys have.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
My 93 was like that, I picked up some stuff at walmart similar to a double sided tape made for throw rugs on hardwood floors and used that. I think they were called carpet or rug grippers.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
Yes It is a bit of a pain in the ass, they do slip and slide all over! the person that had my truck before me used some pieces the size of a place mat of that non slip drawer liner stuff under the floor mats.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
i like that double sided tape idea but i think for my mats i'm going to go to home depot and get some Velcro. The ones that are like a sticker and stick one side to the mat the other to the floor then bam Easy fix right there! cant believe it took a thread for me to figure this out hahahahaha thanks clinton for the idea hahaha!

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
No problem, just get extra velcro though. Alot of dirt, and fabric particles may clog it up quick where you will either have to put more on or sit there and pick the crap out!

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
I have rubber mats and a rubber floor in my F250 at work, the double sided tape didn't work because it clogged up too. I just make sure to not push on the floor mat. The velcro would work, but like it's been said velcro will clog. You might see if you can mod a hook into the floor. The other idea the guys had was to put some good silicone or glue down, and put a piece of fabric down. That would probably work too.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
Why get floor mats if you have the vinyl interior?

I didn't put them in the truck lol I got it that way, and because I try and keep my work truck in good shape, it's also the loaner when people need trucks, so I left them in so they don't completly trash the truck. I made some of the carpenters on this job pay for it to be detailed because I got it back with - no exageration - at least a quarter inch up mud on the floor, mud on the dash, cigarette butts everywhere - I just got that fucking smell out of it too from previous chimney that had the truck, food wrappers thrown behind the seat, in the glovebox, broke the CB off, etc. It was bad, it wasn't in the greatest shape when I got it, but it also represents the maintenance department, and we try and look good, so I take care of it.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
I used that rubber drawer liner and glued it to the bottom of my floormats with 3M spray adhesive. The mats stayed still for a while but once the rubber liner stuff flattened a little, the mats started moving again. Still, they stay put better than they did without the liner.
I'm betting that a custom set of mats, fit to the exact shape of the floors, would stay put alot better. Or maybe those mats that can hold like 1 gallon of liquid each, whatever they're called.. I think they're on LMC trucks website.

Re: "Rubber Mats On Rubber Flooring"
My rubber mats are slightly larger than would be required so they stay put as they have no place to go. They turn up on the sides which is great for catching the dirt.

Look at the WeatherTech floor mats. They have the lip all the way around and are designed to fit your floor shape exactly. You can spill a large drink on one and it will contain the whole thing.
