buzzing when i accelerate ?
when i accelerate there is this wierd buzzing noise coming from my spedometer, sounds like something electrical, its only when i step on the gas thoguh, it is very annoying, its so quiet yet i can hear it over my music, anyone know !?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo?
Running the power line near other lines (dont remember which kind of the top of head) can cause buzzing or whining. Mine does it slightly, but dont notice it unless radio is turned off, because I have two seperate power lines running to different arms, hard to avoid all other lines that were already there.

If your truck is newer than '07, check the coil & it's mounting bracket to make sure it's tight, Ford has a TSB on this issue.

Found the TSB, 01-10 Ranger 4.0L TSB 10-5-7 Ignition Coil to Manifold bolts, torque to 89 in/lbs.

An extension of the question is my 2010 Ford ranger has a similar buzzing but only when RPM @ 1750. Before that no sound and after that no more buzzing. Went into dealer many times and finally found a rattle was a bad DPFE 15 - EGR sensor, noticed buzzing sound gone.
But now after 3 weeks sound back in cab what else could this be?
