Wind Noise
Any of you have "wind noise" in your cab? It sounds like if the window is open a crack. I am hearing it in my truck, and more on the passenger side of it.
I've had someone ride and they hear it, but can't pin point it. I may have to ask the dealer when I take it in next month for oil change.

Could be the window weather strip
if your truck is under warranty just have them check it out

Has this wind noise always been there or did it just start? I ask because the Ranger doesn't do a great job of blocking out outside noise in the first place, IMO.

It has been there since day one.
I have not noticed at first since I'm hard of hearing, but once my partner pointed it out, now I hear it.
I checked the window/weather stripping, and all looks good to me.

if the door is properly shut then it must be the weather stripping which probably wasnt installed correctly from the beginning so take it into your dealer so they can have a look at it/replace it

LOL yes, the doors and windows are closed all the way.
I'm going to take it into the dealer first part of Oct. for my first oil change, and have them look into that wind noise.

Do you have a wife or G/F or maybe both??
If you do, I'm sure you have something you would like to get even withem for.
Take her to the self serve car wash & make sre she stays in the truck. Then when you get to the passenger side, get very close with the pressure washer & go slowly arround the door & window.
When you hear her scream, you have just found where the air is coming in at
then you can inspect that area close to see what isn't quite right.
Good luck & have fun!!

The inside isn't necessarily going to get wet.

One thing That I know of is to use masking tape. Cover one area at a time and test it.
Somethings to include is the bottom door gap, and the door handle. It could be a flaw in the engineering of the handle assembly itself. This is a technique used to locate whistles and panel turbulence.

LOL Sorry, I don't have a lady to worry about!
Good ideal about the tape, use some paint tape and see what happens!

Re: Wind Noise
I know this post is rather old...but I am having a similar problem to the original poster. I have an 02 4dr. supercab and it sounds like I always have a window cracked. Rear slider seems to be shut tight and all doors are latched properly.
The videos posted on this thread are no longer on YouTube. I've heard it could be the type of weatherstripping used around the doors? This a ridiculously simple, yet terribly annoying problem. Anyone have ideas?

you can apply vaseline to the rubber seals (preferably on a warm day) the rubbers will soak it up, swelling them.
