Default Mustang FR500 Steering Wheel

Ii have a spare Ford Motorsports FR500 Steering whel laying around that I was originally going to put in one of my SHO's.

I was just wondering if anyone had done this or any other Mustang Steering Wheel install on their Ranger.

Thanks,
Jim

the 94-04 mustang wheels won't fit on a 95+ column as the rangers use a splined shaft and the mustangs have a d shape. now the 05+ mustang wheels are back to splines, but i'm unsure of the size.

i just bought an 04 mach 1 wheel for ranger. but i have a mustang tilt assembly on my ranger column.

I'm kinda looking for a replacement FR500 wheel for my Mustang, if you're looking to get rid of it

and it's good to know it wont fit my Ranger, i was thinking about taking it apart to see if it would work

Well, that kinda sucks!
I was looking at a '96 Explorer over at a friends body shop the other day and it had the same round shaft with the two flats that the Mustang had. I guess I'll pull that column and see if it fits into my Ranger. That way I will get a tilt wheel out of the bargain too! The only downside is I have to remove the automatic tranny shifing mechanism from it.

I already pulled the OHC, floor console, speedo cluster and seats out of it. They were the leather ones with lumbar bags and bolsters. The sweet part of the whole deal is that they are green and even matched my interior! I had to install them on my manual seat rails for now but my friend with the body shop says he will make some brackets up so that I can have the six way seat rails.
