Default Floor vent blows continuously

Hey guy, my floor vent blows all the time, even when turned off.
It blows like crazy when i'm on the highway.
Would these be a stuck vent or something?

The direction of air flow is controlled by vacuum operated dampers. There is also a vacuum operated damper that switches from inside recirculation to outside fresh air. I can not for the life of me remember of the the knob on the dash is controlling vacuum lines directly or its controlling electric vacuum solenoids.

The failsafe design will have fresh air and full defrost. So if you have it stuck on the floor with fresh air, I'm thinking the problem may be with the knob on the dash. If it was a broken vacuum line, it would be on defrost only.

If you have it set for OFF and you are not moving at all, does air still blow? If so then the problem is definitely the knob on the dash. In OFF, it should be shutting the blower off and closing the fresh air damper.

well in my case if the knob is off, heat will still blow in on the floor, and the faster i drive, the hotter it gets. so i guess it only comes in if im driving.

If you are not moving, does air still come out with it set for off?

No, it's only when moving on mine.
Is that a blend door issue?
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks fellas

Ok. That means the knob is probably working correctly electrically. If it blew you while stopped then that would mean it wasn't shutting the blower off.

Pull the HVAC panel and glove box. Start looking for broken or disconnected vacuum lines.

Will do, it's more annoying than anything because I have to turn it in between cold and hot so it just blows normal air while driving if I don't want heat or AC.
