door ajar light staying on?

My door ajar light is staying on, can anyone tell me how to fix this? I don't even know where the sensor is on the truck. Right now to solve my problem I have the light bulb out.

grease the door latch on the door itselfs and close it a few times. wd40 or lithium grease is what i use

My dome light wont come on when my driver door is open but it does when my passenger door opens... guess i need to trace the connections.....

Did you grease the door latch well? the sensor I believe is in there too

spray the door latch on the side of the door with wd40 and slam the door as hard as u can a few times...it will take care of it. mine did it and i sprayed with wd40 and no more light on while doors are closed

I just had my drivers side switch replaced yesterday (dealership I bought the truck from will be picking up that tab). Also, if you have a 4-door supercab, when you close the rear doors, make certain the top and bottom have latched–just give the door a tug towards the bottom…if it gives, close it harder. That's enough to make the light come on as well.

i have the 4 door ranger is there switches for the rear door also?

i sprayed the latches and slammed the doors any one got windows for a 4 door?????????

pull the fuse lol mine did it to but i figured out my sensor wen tout on my 95 ranger
