Arrow Gauge cluster painting

Is there anyway to paint the gauge cluster without it looking like shit? I would really not go through all the trouble of finding a new one, re wiring it, then changing to odometer. is there like a simple way that i could maybe paint it without it looking horrid?

What year is your truck?

I know some have taken their gauge's apart. Rubbed all the green film off and used anything from sharpies to fabric style paint.

These were done on gauge's from 1998-2003
