Default Painting the interior

Just finished painting the door panel with Dupli-color vinyl and dash paint. I noticed that the paint comes off a little too easy. I was going to add something to protect it, but don't know if that would mess with the color. Any suggestions?

To late now but I painted my whole interior and I used Duplicolor adhesion promoter.

I also cleaned it with some paint prep wipes

I have never used this paint, but does it suggest a clear coat? Also, armor all will help alot.

My personal experiance with armor all was great, I painted my grill with interior wall paint (it matched perfectly) then armor all, and it doesn't run or scratch, great stuff!

Yeah, or I used a spray. It comes out a bit thicker than water and really does protect it well.

Also, I forgot to mention that sometimes those paints can take up to a week to completely dry. I know that is the way krylon fusion (a plastic paint) is.

And finally, I also forgot to mention that it really does look great. I love it.

I was going to suggest a layer of clear coat as well.

When ever I paint vinyl I always use and adhesion primer. I like the one from Bull Dog. I know this won't help you now but maybe next time. If it's coming off already you will probably end up having to strip it and do it over.

the adhesion primer does wonders (at least for me), but i think the most important thing is to just give the area a nice cleaning first cause paint on a dirty surface is hell
