i have to oposite. My cig lighter doesn't work put the 12v does. Is there a fuse for the cig lighter that could be blown?

Yes. They are on different fuses. Check the owners manual for the location of them. I would tell you where they are but its been a while and can't remember sorry.

not sure if this is the right post to ask this? But I was wondering if there is any way to convert the stock unswitched power plug into a switched outlet, so that when my truck turns off, my cb radio will also turn off with no power going to it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Why not just hardwire the CB radio into a more appropriate switch power sources?

Thanks for the suggestion. I dont know a whole lot about wiring and whatnot, but I did just buy an extra 2-outlet power plug from Orielly, is it possible to wire it up to something like the stock radio so that the power outlet shuts off when truck is off?

Yes. But rather than splicing the outlet into it, just cut the light plug off the end of the CB power wires and splice those in. A simple CB radio will probably not overload the factory stereo circuit.
