Mine just quit working yesterday and after doing some looking around under the hood, I noticed brake fluid around the switch that is screwed in at the fron of the master cylinder that has a connecter attached. I had a recall about 5-6 years ago about the potential fire hazzard when that switch starts leaking and Ford put a jumper harness on it with a fuse in line to prevent a short. Well, I went to the Ford parts department today and asked the guy if that would possibly be the culprit and he said by all means yes. When that switch can no longer hold pressure it keeps the cruise control fron turning on. I figured for the 22.00 it cost for the switch to give it a try and he told me Ford redisigned and it came with a new harness as well, 5 minutes later it was on, I'll find out on Sunday if works since I haven't been back out to know for sure. All fuses are good, so we'll see, I'll check back to let you all know. Sorry for the long post.

Ok, cruise control is working fine again, it was the switch mounted on the master cylinder and it was holding pressure and by design would not allow the cruise to turn on.
