Interior Panel stuck through seat belt

Good Afternoon Forum,

I just purchased a used 2000 ford ranger for the wife and have started removing interior panels so I can paint them. I am having problems with the back panels (kicker panel?) that run behind the seats and along the side of the truck. I finally yanked all the retaining pins out and removed the top part of the seat belt (the part that connects to the silder) but I am still left with a panel attached to a seat belt. Even if I remove every part of the seat belt assembly I will still be left with a seat belt with parts I am unable to wedge through the hole in the plastic panel. Should I just cut the seat belt? I am going to replacing them to accent the new color. Thanks

just unbolt from the anchor point on the floor if its a reg cab or from the ext cab door if its an ext cab and it will slide right through
