| | Missing rear speaker mounts
Ive got a 99 B2500 base model that came only with the front speakers. Today I bought some Infinity 5x7's for the front and went to install the stock ones in the empty spots in the rear. I took the rear covers off and there is NOTHING to mount the speakers to. WTF? What am I supposed to do with nothing? The Infinity's sound so damn good that I am probably just going to get a bass tube or a sub in a truck box, but I can't believe here is nothing there. What have you guys done in this situation? I thought of just letting the magnets stick to the rear of the cab, but lets be real, they would slide around over bumps.

On my extended cab, the speakers mount to the cover.

the cover looked like it may handle a 6x9, but my 5x7's fit inside.

No holes in the metal, I take the rear covers off and I see the back of the cab. NOTHING!

+1 on they mount to the inside of the speaker grilles. I may be wrong but I think the correct size is 6x8

6x8 would fit I bet, but my new Infinity's sound so damn good that I would be happy with a 10" bass tube.
