Default Sliding Rear Window Question?

On my truck is there a way to remove the plastic latch on the sliding rear window? The professional tinter had a hard time laying tint on that middle glass where the latch is and it doesn't suit me that great. If push comes to shove, I might try to convert to a solid back glass that STL has on his truck if that's possible.

So I would just knock out the little pin holding the clip with a small tool and hammer? When I looked at it, I saw what your talking about hondaracin338.

Not a very good tinter if he couldn't cut out around the latch, Imo. Might wanna take it somewhere else.

Yea your right but since I done forked out the money and he warranties his work, he told me he would fix it. I just wanted to make it a little easier on him.

Unless he's a personal friend of yours just have him redo it until he gets it right. Thats his job, and and there is no need for you to have to do the prep work for him. It will also help him learn for future jobs. There are a lot of sliding rear glass windows out there. I might sound like an ass, but I work for a glass company and I know that it isn't that hard for a trained tinter to tint the back glass on our trucks. I have watched our tinter do it several times, even on my own truck. Your guy just needs some practice to get it right.

I have only used him once in the past and he did a great job on my woman's car but other than that I don't know him extremely well. But yea I agree with you 100% that he should be able to tint around the back glass. But since I done paid him, I will make him redo it everytime until I am satisfied. Just wanted to help out a little because I don't have alot of time to drive to where he is, so I want it done perfect the first time.
