Re: 1996 Ranger XL Seating
Honestly, if you must have a reg cab, look into upgrading to a 98-11 reg cab. They are 3" longer than 93-97. This is assuming reg cab as I've never seen a full bench on a xcab.
Outside of that, if you keep to same cab type and 93-11, all seats should bolt in. Swap your existing buckles/female belt ends and all should be good. Might not even matter as I think the active female buckles became a thing for 1998 so you in your 97 and older may be able to just send it.
I see Portland as your location......I'm assuming Oregon?? Pay attention to PicknPull's inventory. I am a Portland South regular and they regularly have your era and my era trucks with mostly decent seats to be had. 95-01 Explorer too but those will require some modification. Given age, condition is gonna be more miss than hit though. 95-01 Explorer console is popular.....if manual trans, a 98-11 Ranger or 98-01 Explorer 'shorty' console is popular between 40/40 buckets.
Don't forget the 60/40 split bench option. They are far more plentiful than 40/40 buckets.
Good luck!
