Default A/C troubles

I have a 97 ford ranger with a 2.3L engine and the A/C is constantly a problem for me over the year. I can fix it but here recently I am lost as to why it is not working. I vacuum and put the proper amount of Freon in the system but it only lasts about a month then it stops working. I put 134a gauges up to the hi and low pressure side to read what was going on internally and it showed that I have lost pressure since I last worked on it. It seems to me that there would be a small leak somewhere but I cannot find it. Everything else works because aft of the orifice tube it frosts over which is an indicator of low Freon but the evaporator does not get cold at all. Does anyone have any advice or ideas?

you might have a small leak in the fittings where the freon goes into, its a common issue

do you think that replacing the o-ring, seals, and gaskets should take care of the problem?

You can blindly and randomly fling money at it replacing various parts that may or may not be broken. Or you can take it to an AC shop and have them trace the leak for you and just replace the one broken piece instead.

i have replaced the accumulator, evaporator, o rings and orifice tube. Then i vacuumed the system for an hour, let it stand for 30 minutes and then put in two can of freon (24oz) and it is working great now. i hope everything is fixed now. thanks for those who posted their suggestions
