Default Cubbyhole vs. ashtray

What's the deal with that? I see some with a cubbyhole next to the pass. airbag cutoff switch and others that have an ashtray next to it. My '03 has the ashtray.

I guess my question is: was the ashtray std. and the cubby a N/C option or vice versa?

that i dk, im gonna say the cubby hole is probably the standard option with the ashtray being part of the Smoker's Package.

If you dont like it, you can always change it out for the cubby hole

Yeah, Smokers package was an up sell option. IMHO looks better in the truck than the cubby hole, even though it never gets used.

I got my truck from the original owners (family) and they were never smokers, so I guess they just picked this one off of the lot, lol.

My truck had both... cubby hole where you're talking and a removable ashtray that sits in a cup holder. Great idea IMO... even though the cubby hole is useless I was able to use the ashtray for storage until the lid broke off... lol

I agree completely, that cubby is way too shallow to be useful in any way.
