Default Gauge cluster

I have a question. Will a instrument cluster with a tack work in my truck that did not have a tack work in my truck?

Default Re: Gauge cluster

depends on the year model range of your truck and the donor cluster's. pretty much any 1995 thru 2003 cluster will swap over. same for 04+. not sure on the years for pre-1995.
i swapped in a cluster with a tach from another 99 into my 99 that came without one. plugged right up and works like a charm. tach worked immediately. the speedo was a chore though, you've got to re-calibrate. there's a couple good writeups on here that walk you through it. also a great youtube video out there that shows you how
