Default Another HVAC issue

Warm air trough the vent when panel (outside) air is selected. On a/c takes quite a while to cool (a/c cold).
All other functions are fine, vacuum lines and vacuum inside at hvac control at 18-20hg.
Only happened today after adjusting the temp warmer for the cold morning. After restart the issue began.
Thinking either the mode switch or temp switch.
Any idea's?

Is this for the 2007 in your description? I ask because there is no "vent" outside air option on that year? But if it is the blend door motors are notorious for failure. They usually just fail and your stuck with one temp but they can get "slow" or "stuck". They are behind the glovebox on top of the heater box. Id check that first.

The switches can fail, but the blend door motor is 99% more likely to be the issue.

Yes the 2007..I check the blend door motor out.
I only noticed it on the setting in this picture.
Usually run outside air when it's cool outside.
Blend door motor has power and ground. Will test continuity and varying continuity from potentiometer tomorrow.
Looks like air bag will need to come out if it's the motor?
Thanks for the input..

Before you get ahead of yourself, the airbag doesn't need to come out for any hvac repair. The blend door motor is accessible through the glove box. Not super easy, but in no way does the airbag need to come out. Takes 5 minutes with some good hands. 10 if you're a fat guy like me lol.

Not to nit pick but thats not the "vent" setting. The ranger has no vent setting. Thats forward air and will turn heat or AC on depending on the temp (contolled by the blend door). The only way to use outside air is to roll down the wndow...

Thanks for the input, saved me a ton of time.
Replaced the blend door motor after passing electrical tests.
Function returned to normal..
Took about 30-minutes and a few cuts on the hand.

Thanks and take care.
