Instrument cluster bulbs, too few for the functions
2004 Ford Ranger instrument cluster. There are 11 bulbs in the back.
4 of those bulbs are grouped in bottom middle.
However, there are 16 functions that can light up on the front of the instrument cluster in that bottom middle section.
How can 4 bulbs light up in 16 places without showing light in areas that are not affected?
For instance, assume the seat belt light should come on because not buckled.
Presumably it is serviced by one of the 4 bulbs, however there are probably 3 other functions serviced by that bulb, and they do not light up just because seat belt is not buckled.
What is going on here ?????
