Re: Can any one id What this piece is called?
Coincidentally, I just bought all 4 of these for my Supercab yesterday:
The piece with "RANGER" embossed on it is called "scuff plate" with Supercab base part number: - 1313209 (DS)
- 1313208 (PS).
The inboard piece with the screws is, unfortunately, also called by the same name "scuff plate" with Supercab base number: - 1313261 (DS)
- 1313260 (PS).
If you have a Regular Cab Ranger, the base numbers listed above might be the same or similar. Or not...
In the Ford system, each complete part number will contain the base number plus a prefix and suffix that correspond to vehicle line, year first used, color, etc. For example, the black, inner, driver side piece for my 2003 Supercab is F87Z-1313209-AAF. (Don't rely on this example number - yours may be different.)
Now for the kicker: the diagrams in some versions of the Ford parts system software are INCORRECT, confusing the inner and outer "scuff plates". So be careful not to let them sell you the wrong piece.
