yea i got real lucky lol just didnt wanna take my cluster apart on my dd but yea weds base 194 leds that have 5 smd leds to a blulb

Of course! Why dim LEDs? There supposed to be bright ^_^. If you want dimming, put the stock bulbs back in lol

So, I really want to do this. I want to get the blue because my new radio is blue. How many bulbs do I need for behind the dash? What are hot spots? And does anyone have instructions of how to take the dash apart?

and to do blue youll have to take off the needles and take off the face of the gauges and sand off the paint..way too much work for what its worth i think

At the moment I have white gauges and blue lights that person I bought it from did but they are not very bright. I would be willing to do white or green since the truck is green.

hmm you might just need to buy some green led plug ins..however not everyone will get the same results like i used 194 5 smd bulbs but if you do it you might get hot spots which are spots that look like there brighter than others

Yeah hot spots are certain spots on the cluster is brighter than the rest. Known as "hot spot". That's what Beef08 was trying to say
