Default Adjust seat height w/o power options?

I have a 98 Ranger XLT without power options. The seat is only adjustable for fore and aft. Does anybody know of a way to raise the seat height without having to buy a new seat? If I have to buy a new 60/40 seat i will, but it's not that big of a problem. Thanks for any help.

Phone book is an option, but here's a few more:

* Build some brackets and raise the seat

* The foam in a seat slowly crushes permanently with use and over time, you will sit lower in the seat. This is especially (and exponentially) true if a fattie owned the truck and will be again, more so true if the fattie owned it for a long time. In this case, seat replacement is a viable option.

The 2006-2011 seats are EXTREMELY firm unlike the previous years. I am 230 lbs and the 07 seat was just as firm the day I sold it in 2014 as it was in 06 when I bought the truck new. If that don't do it, then Walmart sells pillows for $7.

The fabric seats are firm, the vinyl or leather seats are actually pretty comfortable

What is your fitment issue with the current seat?

Are you in a uncomfortable position?

What position do you keep the seat?

Overall the seats are ok, they just lack lumbar support and a little height. Nothing I can't live with, but for a relatively easy fix I thought it'd be worth looking into at junkyards and parts trucks on Craigslist
