Default Power Window power whereabouts

I had a gentleman tell me that for power window I would have to have the right wiring harness under the dash and that it would have the right plugs for the windows. Where under the dash can I find these plugs if I have them in my truck ? I have a 10 ex-cab sport 4.0 . Do I have to remove any panel to see if the plugs are there and if so what panel ? I hate these cranks and I mean HATE. Does anybody know of anyplaces that install power windows, my local radio shop doesn't. Thanks Rick

The Gentleman was correct. Bad new is that if your truck did not come with the power options Ford did not put the harness in for them. I just upgraded my 07 to power. I searched for 6 months to find power doors from a wreck. I purchased the doors and cut the cab harness end out when I took the doors off. I used these to make my own harness. You will also need a door lock relay or you can use 2 standard 12v generic relays for the door locks. You will need to supply 12v unswitched for the locks and 12v switched for windows and mirrors. I needed 9 wires between driver door and passenger door. Hope this helps

Yes it does, I did find a kit and they said I just needed 2-wire, 12v switched power to make the windows work ? By switched they meant keyed. I have found a set of doors with all the power stuff but all I want is the windows as the cranks are a pain. It looks like I just swap the regulators and mount a switch and find keyed power, I know that sounds easier then it is but thats it in a nutshell , Right ? Thanks Rick
