'60/40 Mod'
I've seen reference to this, and I know what it is, but I can't find a technical description by searching. I don't mind the seats I have but would like to build a custom center console (nice one on here that does reference the "60/40 mod".)
edit: duh, why don't I just ask him how he did the seat mod? Good idea.

Re: '60/40 Mod'
it's basically pulling the drivers side (60) of your split bench to cut off the foam from the center seat (but not the cloth) and remove the armrest attachment (down t the same size as the passenger side, or the 40) and sewing it up to put it back in the truck

Thanks. So there is no welding or fabricating involved? (I'm not a welder but can fabricate stuff from stuff.)

Re: '60/40 Mod'
not unless you swap to a bench from a regular cab, if you're using the one out of your ruck there's nothing but pulling bolts

Re: '60/40 Mod'
There are times that I've wanted to swap in a set of Recaro seats, brackets, and sliders.. but then after I think about it.; call me old fashioned or a hopeless romantic but I kinda like the fact the lil woman will slide over and ride next to me from time to time..
yea,.. Wherever that came from (o.O) ?!

you aren't the only one, my first 2 trucks had a split bench, this one has buckets and I so seriously debated trying to find a split bench to put in this one, but then I couldn't find prices under 200 for decent looking split benches, plus whatever additional costs of a decent seat cover made me forget about that pretty quick
