shorty console cupholders

I have an 02, with a stock shorty console- the one with 2 offset cupholders- I was looking to swap that piece with the cup holder insert that came with a junk spot.

I know that the armrest didn't change much in design since the 80's, but does that make them so similar that the cup holders can be swapped?

They will swap although the inside of the storage compartment may have to be trimmed to accommodate the other cup holder trim piece.

elaborate a little for me, storage compartment in the cup holder or armrest, and which cup holder trim piece?

So there is a cup holder trim piece with two side by side. Then their is the one with two cup holders in somewhat of a diagonal line and a coin holder upfront. The one that has two cup holders in a diagonal line, the back cup holder will interfere with the piece that slides in the storage compartment unless you have the one with the cutout for it. I have the piece if you need it I was gonna do a shorty console but found a full length in good condition. So if you need that pry let me know

I currently have a shorty with the diagonal cup holders, so it only has 1 crew tab after removing the cup holder insert, I'm looking to put the 2 side by side in- which have 2 set screws in the back where I have one screw tab- and you have the black side by side cup holder insert? what would you want for it shipped to 49405?

The shorty console in my 2000 Ranger has the cup holders one behind each other with the coin holder in front.
